ART – Gold Key Recipients Drop Off Starts Today!

Regional Exhibition Featuring Gold Key Artwork (All Recipients Invited):

We are thrilled to announce that the 2016 NYC Scholastic Art Awards Exhibition will be held at The Metropolitan Museum of Art in the Ruth and Harold D. Uris Center for Education! All recipients are invited to attend the Opening Reception on Friday, March 11 to celebrate the creativity and originality of all students who submitted to the 2016 Scholastic Awards.

Exhibition Dates: Friday, March 11, 2016–Monday, May 30, 2016

Opening Reception: 6:00–8:00 pm on Friday, March 11, 2016

Location:  The Uris Center for Education is located at the Met’s 81st Street entrance off of Fifth Avenue

Due to space limitations, only one Gold Key artwork per student in grades 9–12 will be displayed at the exhibition.

Gold Key recipients in grades 9-12 may be required to deliver Gold Key artwork to our office at Scholastic Inc.—DO NOT DELIVER ARTWORK TO THE MET. Please refer to the following procedures:

2D Gold Key Awardees (e.g., photography, drawing, painting)

Deliver one Gold Key artwork to

Alliance for Young Artists & Writers

 Delivery Dates:

Thursday, February 4 (10:00 am–7:00 pm)

Friday, February 5 (10:00 am–7:00 pm)

Saturday, February 6 (10:00 am–4:00 pm)

3D Gold Key Awardees (e.g., sculpture, ceramics, jewelry, fashion)

DO NOT deliver artwork to the Alliance. We will mat and display a photograph of your 3D artwork for the exhibition.

Dimensions: Due to space limitations, the maximum size for artwork is  11 x 14. Larger artwork will be displayed digitally.
