ASAP Scholarships!

This just in from the ASAP Awards.  Find out how to apply below!

The ASAP Awards provide scholarships for high-achieving, low-income students in grades 7 – 11 to attend summer intensive art and writing programs with high quality, college-prep level instruction by creative professionals. ASAP applicants meet these three criteria:

  • They have earned a 2014 Gold Key in art or writing;
  • They’re enrolled in 7th to 11th grade; and
  • Their families have demonstrated financial need (for example, $45,000 a year for a family of four; extenuating circumstances are also considered).

Summer Precollege and Camp classes include but are not limited to:

 

Architecture

Sculpture

Fashion Design

Film

Playwriting

Animation

Drawing

Poetry

Painting

Welding

Design for Social Change

Filmmaking

Photography

Ceramics

Portfolio Prep

Glassblowing

Graphic Design

 

Students who are selected for ASAP Awards will receive scholarships up to $1,500 to be applied toward summer tuition costs and housing. Students and their families may be responsible for payment of additional costs (i.e. transportation, supplies, meals, etc.).

 

The deadline is March 15, 2014. Here’s how to apply!
